Routes - The transit system on the Eastbank of Jefferson Parish provides three (4) east/west routes that extend into Orleans Parish and two (2) north/south routes.

Holiday Schedule: The Eastbank routes operate with the Saturday schedule on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The Eastbank routes will operate a special Mardi Gras Day schedule that is publicized several weeks before Mardi Gras.

Routes without Saturday service do not provide service on holidays.

The Lapalco, Terrytown and Westbank Expressway routes provide service to the New Orleans CBD and the Huey P. Long route provides service to the Eastbank. Please check bus schedules for exact times.
Routes - The transit system on the Westbank of Jefferson Parish provides 5 routes.  Two routes provide service to the CBD and one provides service to the Eastbank of Jefferson Parish.

CONNECTIONS

Jefferson Transit Eastbank/Westbank Connections.The Jefferson Transit Eastbank and Westbank routes connect in two locations:

  1. New Orleans CBD. The Lapalco, Westbank Expressway and Terrytown routes (Westbank routes) connect with the Airport/Airport Express (Eastbank route) at Loyola and Tulane.

  2. Elmwood. The Huey P. Long route (Westbank route) connects with the Kenner Local (Eastbank route) at Jefferson Highway and St. George. The Huey P. Long route, the Kenner Local route, and the Clearview route all connect at Jefferson Highway and Plantation. The Huey P. Long route and the Clearview route also connect at the Yenni Building.

BUS TERMINALS

Wilty Terminal and Walkertown Terminal. There are two bus terminals that serve the Westbank bus routes. The Wilty Terminal is located under the Westbank Expressway at Van Trump (address listed below). The Walkertown Terminal is located under the Westbank Expressway east of Ames Boulevard (address listed below). Both terminals provide sheltered waiting areas for passengers transferring between bus lines. Amenities include security, telephones, security lighting, and scheduling information. The terminals are fully accessible to persons with disabilities. Parking for park and ride patrons is also available at each terminal.

There are no bus terminals on the Eastbank of Jefferson Parish.

ABOUT JET BUSES

All of the buses on the Eastbank and Westbank routes are lift-equipped buses that comply with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). These buses also use the Talking Bus system to announce major bus stops and transfer points along each route. The wheelchair symbol is used on all the bus schedules to show riders that all buses are lift-equipped.
